General Update |

|
Good morning, Residents,
I wanted to provide an update on some of the work I’ve been carrying out recently.
Last week, in partnership with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, I issued two Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) and two Community Protection Notices (CPNs).
A Community Protection Warning is a formal written notice given to individuals, businesses, or organisations whose behaviour is causing harm or disruption to the local community. It serves as a final opportunity to stop the behaviour before a mandatory Community Protection Notice is issued.
Anti-social behaviour between neighbours can have a significant and lasting impact. What should be a place of comfort and safety can quickly become a source of stress and anxiety. Persistent noise, intimidation, harassment, or ongoing disputes can undermine a person’s sense of security in their own home, leading to sleep disruption, emotional strain, and even long-term mental health difficulties. Over time, these issues can damage community relationships, isolate individuals, and create an atmosphere of tension or resentment.
For many, the uncertainty of what might happen next becomes as harmful as the behaviour itself. This is why respectful, considerate neighbour relationships are vital for wellbeing and for maintaining a positive quality of life. If you are experiencing anti-social behaviour, you can report it using the link below: https://www.kent.police.uk/ro/report/asb/asb-v3/report-antisocial-behaviour/
On Monday 26th January at around 09:30, Kent Police and the South East Ambulance Service were called to Hythe Close, Southborough, following reports of a large fight. I attended alongside officers from the Local Policing Team. In other news, I am no longer the Beat Officer for the St Johns area. This responsibility has now been taken on by the Tunbridge Wells Community Neighbourhood Task Force Team. As part of this change, I will now be covering the area of Bidborough.
I recently had a productive one‑to‑one meeting with Bidborough’s Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator and Parish Councillor, Dominic Cole. We discussed several important local matters, and I look forward to working closely with the community and serving the residents of Bidborough.
Just a reminder that I will be holding two drop-in surgeries in February. This is great opportunity to meet me and discuss any local issues.
I will be holding a surgery at the 137 Café in Southborough on February 24th 2026 at 10:00hrs.
I will also be holding a surgery at the Barents Wood Play Park, on Juniper Close on February 27th 2026 at 15:00hrs.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Kind regards
